Bunyards Coin & Stamps is Poplar Bluff's hometown coin and stamp dealer, proudly serving Butler County and the surrounding Ozark region. Whether you're a seasoned collector, a curious newcomer, or someone who just found grandpa's old coin jar — you've come to the right place.
Located at 1912 N. Westwood Blvd, Suite D, we offer a welcoming, no-pressure environment where your questions are always encouraged. Bring in what you have and let us help you understand what you're holding.
We specialize in gold and silver bullion, US coins and currency, stamps, ancient coins, and foreign coins. We buy, sell, and trade — and soon we'll be expanding into jewelry evaluation as well.
We also attend coin shows across the region on weekends — buying, selling, and connecting with dealers and collectors from all over the country.
From everyday US coins to rare ancient treasures — we're here to help you buy, sell, learn, and collect with confidence.
Buy and sell gold and silver bullion at competitive prices. We carry Eagles, Maples, rounds, bars, and constitutional silver. Fair pricing based on live spot.
Not sure what you have? Bring it in! Dale will help you identify, grade, and understand the history and value of your coins and currency — no appointment needed during business hours.
We deal in old US paper currency including large-size notes, silver certificates, and gold certificates. Stamp collections bought and sold as well.
Dale is a passionate specialist in ancient Roman and Greek coinage, as well as foreign coins and currency from around the world. He's given presentations on Roman Imperial coinage and Bactrian coinage.

Dale Bunyard is more than a coin dealer — he's a true student of history. A lifelong numismatist, Dale has spent decades building expertise that spans everything from pre-1965 US constitutional silver to ancient Roman Imperial coinage minted over two millennia ago.
"Coins are windows into history. Every piece you hold was touched by someone who lived a completely different world."
Dale is a recognized member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA), the Missouri Numismatic Society (MNS), the Ozark Coin Club (OCC), and the Early American Coppers Society (EACS). He is also an active member of the local Poplar Bluff Coin Club, where he has shared his passion for coins with fellow enthusiasts in the community.
His expertise in ancient coinage is especially well recognized. Dale has been published discussing ancient coins and has given formal presentations to numismatic societies, including a notable talk on "Collecting a Type Set of Roman Emperors" to the Ancient Coin Study Group in St. Charles, MO, and presentations on Roman Imperial Coinage and Bactrian Coinage. He has also presented to the Missouri Numismatic Society on topics such as "What it Takes to Start a Coin Club."
Beyond ancient coins, Dale has a deep appreciation for foreign coins and currency from around the world, US coins and paper money, stamps, and precious metals bullion. He and his wife Theresa operate Bunyards Coin & Stamps out of Poplar Bluff — the Gateway to the Ozarks — where Dale grew roots after years of living in Illinois and across the Midwest.
On weekends you'll often find Dale at coin shows across the region — buying, selling, and networking with dealers and collectors who share his passion. He genuinely loves the community that numismatics brings together.
If you have coins, currency, or stamps and don't know what you're looking at — Dale is exactly the person you want to talk to. He loves the teaching aspect of the hobby as much as the collecting itself.
Presentations include: Collecting a Type Set of Roman Emperors · Roman Imperial Coinage · Bactrian Coinage · What it Takes to Start a Coin Club — delivered to the ACSG, MNS, and regional coin societies.
